Application
used as antiseptic in timber industry, hygroscopic angent of acid resisting concret, ivory of glass and enamel, insecticide in pesticide industry, solidifying agent in natural latex products, additive in plating with zinc, nickel, iron and filler in plastic and fluorinating agent in phalmaceuticals and drinking water. It is used to produce sodium fluoride in man-made cryolite
Properties:
White powder or cube crystallization. Relative molecular mass: 78.08. Relative density 3.18. Melting point 1,403 . Boiling point 2,500 . Heats up when shines. Dissolve in thick inorganic acid, and release hydrogen fluoride. Slightly soluble in thin inorganic acid, does not dissolve in water.
